What’s happening so far?
Along with its new name and logo, with warmer weather have come more events, more customers walking by and more hype around Market 707! If you haven’t been following, here’s what you’ve missed so far:

  • Street Food Fest: this past Saturday Market 707 hosted a Food Fest where Food Trucks meet Shipping Containers as over 12 vendors brought hundreds of people an abundance of delicious, creative food showcasing these two innovative distribution outlets. It was also the opening day of our annual Gone Fishin’ project that goes til June 16!
  • Farmers’ Market 707: There’s a new farmers’ market in town! Every Wednesday from 3 – 7pm we have a growing number of local vendors clamouring to get in on the action.
  • Market Shift Charrette: Friday June 1st we hosted, in partnership with the Working Habitat and ERA Architects, a #MarketShift charrette and reception to launch our Modular Market Development Manual and brainstorm how this concept could be applied across the city. Check out the great media coverage under SCCC In the News!
  • Friday Night Markets: Throughout the summer, vendors have extended hours on Fridays until 10pm, and certain Fridays are accompanied by live entertainment, activities and more! The 1st of 3 Fringe Festival nights took place on May 11th with more to come!

Events to look forward to:

The summer is far from over & there’s lots more to look forward to!

  • Toronto Fringe: Friday June 15th & Friday July 6th, join the Friday Night Market for more live previews of shows being featured during the Toronto Fringe Festival taking place in July!
  • Farmers’ Market 707: The farmers’ market is every Wednesday until October 24th from 3 – 7pm!
