Disabilities Programs



Disabilities Programs are for youth and adults and they include:
- Swim and Social
- Drama Interact
- Drama Interact Summer Camp

SWIM AND SOCIAL
Who? Adults living with disabilities
What? Participants come and enjoy a short swim followed by a social gathering afterwards. The pool is equipped with an elevator chair that lowers participants into the water. Some volunteers are available to assist participants, however, attendants and caregivers are always invited. For those who do not want to swim, feel free to socialize with other participants in the program room. Board games, cards, arts/crafts or just interesting conversation are always available. Light refreshments and healthy snacks are served.
When? Mondays from 6:30 to 7:50pm

 

DRAMA INTERACT
Who? Youth 13 to 29 who are physically or developmentally challenged 
What? The program uses a variety of theatre techniques including popular theatre, verbal and non-verbal, role-playing movement and scene building.        
When? Saturdays from 10 am – 12 pm, September to June

 

DRAMA INTERACT SUMMER CAMP
Who? Youth 13 to 29 who are physically or developmentally challenged 
What? The program uses a variety of theatre techniques including popular theatre, verbal and non-verbal, role-playing movement and scene building. The program includes informative workshops related to theatre, field trips, guest speakers, and guest performers.
When? Monday to Friday from 10 am – 2 pm, for 6 weeks in the Summer 
Cost?

$10.00/week, registration is required

 

 

 

 In addition to these programs, Scadding Court also strives to integrate people living with disabilities into the centre’s activities. We welcome requests for participation in all of our programs and services and do our best to accommodate them.
