ATHLETICS AND RECREATION  
Who?  Youth of all ages
What? Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Ball-Hockey 
Why?  To provide opportunities for physical activity, team-building, physical and social skills development, making friends and having fun.

the...talk: A Youth-led Drug Use Prevention Initiative
Who?  Youth aged 15 – 18
What? Weekly meetings, workshops and field trips on health promotion and illegal drug use/abuse prevention. Peer Leaders become trained in workshop facilitation, peer-to-peer education, health promotion and illegal drug use prevention strategies. The group designed and delivers a unique youth-led drug use prevention workshop series for children aged 10 – 12 and younger youth aged 13 – 15 in the community.
Why?  To build local youth leadership with respect to illegal drug use prevention, raise awareness and understanding of healthy lifestyle choices, and of illegal drugs and their negative consequences.
When? Tuesdays 4:30 - 6:30pm (year round)

FUSION - YOUNG WOMEN'S PROGRAM 
Who?  Girls aged 13 - 18
What? Fun activities that provide a range of learning and skill-building opportunities that relate to health and wellness, leadership development, public speaking and drug prevention. 
Why?  To make friends, have fun, learn, develop skills, build confidence and be active in the community.
When? Mondays & Wednesdays 4 – 6pm (throughout the school year)

YOUNG MUSLIMAHZ 
Who?  Girls and young women aged 10 – 18
What? A social/recreational program with diverse athletic, social and arts-based activities like cooking, skating, basketball, arts & crafts, workshops, women’s only swimming, field trips and more.
Why?  To provide a place for Muslim and non-Muslim young women to come together to make friends, have fun, learn, develop skills, build confidence, be active in the community and explore the intersection between different faiths and cultures.   
When? Fridays 5 – 7pm (year round)

CATALYST PROGRAM 
Who?  Youth aged 16 - 25
What? An intensive, ‘wrap-around’ youth development and employment program that provides case management, employment, academic supports, mentorship, service learning and recreational opportunities.
Why?  To support youth experiencing multiple risk factors in developing skills, attitudes and behaviours to set and achieve short and long-term goals for personal and professional success.  
When? Daily (year round)

NEWCOMER YOUTH PROGRAM 
Who?  Youth aged 12- 18 who are newcomers to Canada
What? Recreational drop-in program, workshops and mentorship with Ryerson Tri-Mentors
Why?  To support newcomer youth in developing friendships, accessing programs and services, learning about Canadian culture and getting connected to their community
When? Mondays & Tuesdays 4-6pm (throughout the school year)

BALLHAWKS BASKETBALL 
Who?  Young men in grades 9 – 12 
What? A competitive basketball program for elite players.
Why?  To provide opportunities for high calibre training and play, and exposure to college coaches/recruiters in order to secure post-secondary education scholarships. 
When? Tuesdays & Thursdays 7 – 9pm, Fridays 6 – 9pm (year round)

OUTER LIMITS INTERNAITONAL PROGRAM 
Who?  Youth aged 18 – 25
What? A 6 month, small group intensive experiential learning program that includes 3 months of (part-time) pre-departure training and 3 months of teaching in India.
Why?  To provide a group of diverse youth with a venue for learning, skill-building, self-reflection, cultural immersion, and mutual knowledge transfer between one another and with children in India and through this, to build local and global community connections.
When? October - March

The 2012 Outer Limits program has been cancelled, but we look forward to resuming it again in future years.



SUMMER PROGRAMS

LEADER IN TRAINING 
Who?  Youth aged 13 - 16
What? An intensive summer leadership program that includes workshops, job skills development, volunteerism, field trips and fun!
Why?  To develop local youth leadership, build employment-related skills and networks and to engage young people in their community.
When? Weekdays 9am – 4pm (July and August)

DRAMA INTERACT 
Who?  Youth with disabilities aged 17 – 29
What? A 7 week intensive daily summer program that provides and introduction to dramatic arts through theatre, music and creative arts with an end-of-season performance.
Why?  To provide social, recreational and skill-building opportunities to youth with disabilities in an integrated community setting.
When? Weekdays 10am – 2pm (July and August)
